History

History

May 1943
Started business as Yame Barley Processing Ltd. (110,000 yen in capital).
June 1943
Constructed a barley processing plant at Hainuzuka, Yame, Fukuoka and started production.
September 1945
Changed the company name to Yame Foods Ltd. and started dairy and bakery operations, in addition to barley processing, as part of a diversification plan.
July 1948
Changed the company name to Yame Foods Co., Ltd.
February 1952
Completed Flour milling factory construction.
April 1958
Designated by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan as a bran specialization factory.
June 1960
Constructed a new head office (Chikugo City).
August 1960
Changed the company name to Taiyo Flour Milling Co., Ltd. and moved the bran specialization factory from Omuta to Chikugo City (daily production capacity of 105.9 tons).
February 1964
Constructed a feed-use barley processing plant.
December 1965
President Kijiro Kano was awarded the Medal of Honor (blue ribbon).
November 1969
- President Kijiro Kano passed away.
- Mr. Kenji Ujihara appointed as President (2nd in company history).
March 1971
Constructed a Fukuoka feed plant and started production.
May 1976
Mr. Ryozo Kamatani appointed as President (3rd in company history).

- Completed Taiyo silo (11,245 tons) construction.

Mr. Shuhei Koga appointed as President (4th in company history).

Acquired the business rights to Okamoto Flour Milling Co., Ltd.

- Formed a partnership with FrigorTec GmbH (current name) of Germany.
- Launched Granifrigor business (grain cooling units and systems) via Sanei.

Introduced stone-grinding milling lines operating with Vollmer GmbH equipment from Germany.

- Co-founded Rheingold Co., Ltd. with five other Japanese milling companies.

- Entered into a distributor agreement with Thermonox GmbH of Germany.
